The
year is 1941; the place, Brooklyn. Welcome to the Brewster
household, where elderly sisters Abby and Martha are
renowned for their hospitality. But if they offer you
a glass of homemade elderberry wine - refuse it! And
be wary of their nephews: Teddy, an eccentric who thinks
he is Teddy Roosevelt; Jonathan, a homicidal maniac
who bears an uncanny resemblance to Boris Karloff; and
Mortimer, who has sunck so low that he works as a theatre
critic. Above all, stay out of the basement. There are
12 graves down there and just enough room for one more!
