truly dynamic evening. Elegant and insightful, Copenhagen
is a triumph."

Winner
of the Olivier Award in London and the Tony Award in
New York, Copenhagen is about the relationship
between Danish atomic physicist Niels Bohr and his protege,
German scientist Werner Heisenberg, and a famous, but
mysterious, meeting between the two in 1941. Formerly
close friends, the two men were now on opposite sides
in a world war and the race to develop an atomic bomb.
Why did Heisenberg travel to Copenhagen? Or do we ever
know why we what we do?
The CATCO/
Red Herring production features an all-star cast of
highly acclaimed, veteran Ohio actors, including Bruce
Hermann (Werner Heisenberg), Sue Ott Rowlands (Margrethe
Bohr) and Ed Vaughan (Niels Bohr). All three actors
are on the faculty of Ohio colleges: Hermann teaches
acting and directing at OSU; Rowlands is chair of the
Department of Theatre and Film at The University of
Toledo; and Vaughan is a professor in the Department
of Theatre and Dance at Otterbein College.
Directing
the veteran cast is Maureen (Mo) Ryan, Red Herring artistic
director and an assistant professor of acting and directing
at OSU.
