Season | The Laramie Project

The Laramie Project
By Moisés Kaufman and The Tectonic Theatre Company
Studio One Theatre
September 17 – October 20

“...deeply moving work.” 'The New York Times'

What price do we pay for acceptance?

When the murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay college student in Laramie, made the headlines, the entire nation passed judgment on a small Wyoming town. Although the media hype ran rampant, the reactions of the people of Laramie were largely overlooked. That is, until The Tectonic Theatre Company journeyed to Wyoming and conducted hundreds of hours of taped interviews and extracted a profile of the community that not only reflects the myriad reactions of the people of Laramie, but also speaks volumes about our reactions as a nation.
